Quality
A design is only as good as the material it ends up on. So here we talk openly about what our posters and phone cases are made of, how they’re produced and what you can expect – without the marketing fog.
Posters
The paper
We print on photo paper at 250 gsm. That’s considerably sturdier than the thin poster stock you know from furniture stores: it doesn’t curl, it doesn’t buckle, and it stands up straight even without a frame.
The finish is matte – deliberately and exclusively. Matte paper has no shine and doesn’t reflect: the design stays readable from every angle, whether it hangs opposite a window, under a ceiling spot or framed behind glass. Blocks of colour look calm, typography stays crisp, and fingerprints barely show.
The raw paper is made in Germany and processed directly at our print partner.
The printing
Our posters are made at a specialised print partner in Germany – a workshop that focuses exclusively on large-format art prints and has been producing for poster labels across Europe for years.
Printing is done using large-format digital printing. Every file is checked for resolution and colour profile before it goes to press, so gradients stay smooth and edges stay sharp.
One thing matters to us: we print only once you order. There’s no warehouse full of posters that end up in the bin. That costs one to two extra business days – in exchange, nothing is made on spec.
The packaging
A perfectly printed poster is worth nothing if it arrives creased. Smaller formats therefore travel flat in sturdy cardboard packaging, larger ones rolled in a rigid shipping tube.
We use cardboard and paper instead of plastic wherever we can. Our print partner’s shipping packaging participates in the German dual recycling system and can go into the paper recycling stream.
The facts at a glance
Why we only offer matte
We could have added glossy finishes to the range. We deliberately didn’t:
- No reflections. Glossy paper throws back windows, lamps and you. Matte doesn’t – the design stays visible in any light.
- Better for framing. Glass already reflects. A matte poster behind it stays calm; a glossy one gets busy.
- Tougher day to day. Fingerprints and fine scratches show far less on a matte surface.
One decision less when ordering – and one we stand behind.
Care and handling
- Hold the poster by its edges, ideally with clean, dry hands.
- Wipe off dust gently with a dry, soft cloth. No water, no cleaning products.
- Was your poster rolled? Leave it under a few books for a couple of hours and it will lie flat again.
- Constant direct sunlight fades any print over time – a wall without harsh midday light noticeably extends its life.
Phone cases
Our phone cases are made by a specialised production partner in Lithuania. They too are only produced once you order – there is no warehouse full of cases waiting to be thrown away.
Material and build
Every case has two layers: a hard polycarbonate shell on the outside and a shock-absorbing TPU layer inside. The hard outer side takes scratches and knocks, the soft inner side absorbs the energy of a drop. Together they make a case that sits solidly in the hand without feeling bulky.
A magnet ring is built in permanently. MagSafe chargers and accessories hold securely, and wireless charging works without taking the case off.
The printing
The design is printed all the way around the outside – right to the edges, not just on the back. The finish is glossy, which makes colours vivid and contrasts deep. Unlike our posters, shine is wanted here: it makes the design look alive on the curved surface.
Fit
Each iPhone model has its own mould. Raised edges around the display and camera keep both off the surface when you put the phone down. Cut-outs for ports, speakers and buttons sit precisely – nothing is covered and the buttons stay easy to feel.
The case facts at a glance
Care
Clean your case with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Harsh cleaning products and liquids with a high alcohol content can attack the print. Constant direct sunlight fades colours over time – that goes for the print on a case just as much as for a poster on the wall.
